Always one.
I wonder how many of these scams Mr. Giuliani has engaged in around the country.
From the State in Columbia South Carolina:
The head of a powerful House budget panel has called on Rudy Giuliani to return $80,000 he was paid by the S.C. Hospital Association to speak at its tsunami relief fund-raiser here in February.
Rep. Tracy Edge , R-Horry, chairman of the health and human services budget subcommittee, said he was "disappointed" to learn the former New York City mayor had charged the association $100,000 to speak.
But there is more from Rudy's fellow repub after the break.
With hospitals everywhere trying to scrape money together to make ends meet, some were a little upset with Rudy's shakedown for charity (his own wallet i guess).
Edge said he, too, "admired Mayor Giuliani's leadership during the 9/11 tragedy."
That makes it all the more difficult to accept Giuliani's taking such a huge fee from a group's fund-raiser, Edge said.
"Frankly, his service in New York makes it even more troubling that he would ask for money to appear at an event designed to benefit the victims of one of the greatest human disasters in recorded history."
Edge's subcommittee is responsible for providing state dollars to hospitals for Medicaid and other services.
"I can attest to the fact that funding for our hospitals and health service is becoming a serious challenge," Edge said. "Knowing just how scarce health care funds are, it truly saddens me to see this type of profiteering in raising funds for a cause as important as tsunami relief."
A republican calling Rudy out for profiteering.
And its not april fools anymore!
